Meet the Staff
Ms. Dori
My name is Dori-Ann McEvoy-Viselli. I am one of the owners of Little Prodigies Daycare. I possess a New York State license in Speech-Language Pathology and permanent certification in Special Education. I have worked 17 years with The New York City Department of Education as a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicap with middle school aged children. I also have worked numerous years as an Early Intervention Therapist.
Here at Little Prodigies Daycare I wear many hats, not only am I the administrator I am also the lead teacher with our two year olds.
I really enjoy working with the two year olds because it gives me the opportunity to put into practice all that I have learned in graduate school. Many of my students’ language skills are emergent so we engage in activities that stimulate language expression and initiate communication.
My goal was to open a daycare where children are given the necessary tools to build an academic foundation. I believe early childhood education is extremely important because young children are like “sponges”, they have a strong desire to learn, participate, imitate and create. In the past 17 years I have worked with numerous children who were never given the opportunity to build a strong foundation, they will be “catching up” the rest of their lives. I believe we here at Little Prodigies Daycare offer our children the opportunity to build that important foundation.
Ms. Lauren
I received my Bachelor’s Degree at Lehman College. My major is in Anthropology and my Minor is in Early Childhood Education. My Master Degree is in Elementary Education. After receiving my Master’s Degree I then went on to get 30 credits in education above my Masters.
I have worked for The New York City Department of Education for ten years. I have taught pre-k for 5 years. I have also taught kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. My goal is to teach children at their level and to help them grow according to their interests.

Before working at Little Prodigies Daycare, I worked one year as a teacher’s assistant in a Universal Pre-Kindergarten program that is ran by the Department of Education. Currently I am employed at Little Prodigies Daycare as a teacher’s assistant with the Pre-K class.
I am also a photographer with a studio located in the Mott Haven area of The Bronx. Along with working at Little Prodigies Daycare, I also enjoy spending time working in my photography studio making art and doing side jobs. I plan to go back to school for a master degree in photography and wish to eventually become a photography professor.

My prior experience with children include; a nanny for twin newborns in which I was responsible to feed, clean, interact and play with these children 8-12 hours a day. I also was a Senior Team Member at Suny Purchase Day Camp where I actively supervised and participated in various activities with a group of first and second grade girls. I was also a swimming instructor at the day camp. I also volunteered my time at Blythdale Children’s Hospital for a couple of years where I socialized and sang to children with complex medical and rehabilitative needs.
In the near future I intend to continue my education and receive a master degree for Speech-Language Pathology.

Ms. Christina
I was born, raised, and currently live in Bronx, New York. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Boston College in 2005, and a Doctor of Pharmacy from Temple University in 2010. I am currently a part-time teacher’s assistant in the afternoon. I thoroughly enjoy working with the children, and love seeing each one of their individual personalities develops as they grow and learn. In my spare time I like to read, knit, spend time with great friends and family, and travel.
Ms. Angela
My name is Angela Liso and I am 30 years old. I was born and raised in the Bronx. I attended Hunter College in NYC and received my Bachelor’s degree in English Language Arts with a minor in Psychology. I then went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education at the College of New Rochelle. I have been working with children from birth thru age 6 for eight years. Prior to working at Little Prodigies, I was a teacher for a Universal Pre-kindergarten program for three years. I have been with Little Prodigies for a year and work with the older 3’s and 4 year olds. I follow the same curriculum as I did when I worked for the Universal Pre-K. I personally like to incorporate a lot of science and hands on activities where the children can be a part of each lesson in a fun creative way.
I can relate to children because I am still a child at heart. I love to joke around with them and play small jokes to make them laugh and lighten the mood of the classroom. I like to make learning fun by being silly at times so they can feel more relaxed and will enjoy coming to school. I am a very loving and caring person and hugs are given out throughout the day as needed to help reassure your child that this is a safe place for them to be. As a teacher it is my goal to help each child become a confident learner. I believe I do my best to help make each year a positive experience for every child.
